Our Doctrine
We are a ministry of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Ohio. We use the Bible as the basis for living out God's call as best exemplified in the life and teachings of Jesus.

Our Methods
The Loft – A weekly worship experience that is casual, conversational and meaningful
Journeys groups – Small groups of friends growing together in Grace
Works – Meaningful activities that help meet the needs of others

Our Vision
To be a ministry that is meaningful and challenging to people who, for whatever reason, find themselves outside of or uncomfortable with the typical church. We desire to shake off the stereotypes most people associate with a church and, instead, build a community of doubters, believers and seekers who desire to grow together in Grace while doing our best to live out the teachings of Jesus in all that we do. We recognize that Jesus not only promised life that is eternal, but also life that is more abundant. That means that God is with us. It means that a relationship with Jesus truly changes us. It means that our lives are more exciting and more fulfilling when we choose to live as Jesus lived (God-focused) rather than as the world encourages us to live (self-focused).

Our ministry is based on the Bible verse James 2:18 where the writer encourages us to live out our faith through good works. Here’s the verse as written in the New Living Translation of the Bible:

Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”
